An Economy That All Profit From
One of the main goals of the Conservative Party is to put more money into the pockets of hard working Canadians. Our nation has suffered the burden of excessive taxation and over spending, and we have a comprehensive plan for an economy that all can profit from.
-
We will immediately repeal the Carbon tax scheme implemented by the Liberal party, and will not replace it with any new scheme.
-
We will audit corporate subsidies and sanction foreign multinational corporations taking advantage of Canadians.
-
We will renegotiate the terms of the USMCA trade agreement to secure a better deal for Canadian workers.
-
We will create a special tax free economic zone in Windsor, Ontario to spur cross border trade.
-
We will immediately lift restrictive fishery quotas.

The Conservative Mental Health and Rehabilitation Plan
01
Constructing new facilities
We will be providing an initial allocation of $2 billion to the provinces for the construction of new psychiatric hospitals, detox/rehabilitative facilities and dual diagnosis treatment centers. These facilities are to be available for free or low cost, both voluntary and involuntary.
02
Reforming Mental Health Laws
We believe that substance abuse and addiction is a disease, not a crime or a moral failure. The proper course of action for a disease is treatment, not neglect. We will seek changes to provincial mental healthcare laws to include provisions to involuntarily admit those who are addicted to substances into the new rehab facilities, contingent upon federal funding.
03
Expanding Long Term Treatment
One of the biggest struggles the mental healthcare system faces is dealing with long term mental health issues such as schizophrenia or anti social personality disorder. The new facilities being proposed by us will also include services for long term and high level of care patients, to ensure they are getting all the help they truly need.

Conservative Party- The Law and Order Party
The Liberal government of the last 9 years saw the repeal of several mandatory minimum statutes, resulting in dangerous criminals such as rapists and murderers serving far less time than adequate for their crimes. Furthermore, bail reform policies pushed by Liberals and NDP members at provincial levels have resulted in more repeated criminal acts due to emboldened criminals, who know their actions have no consequences. When in parliament, we will immediately seek the reinstatement of all mandatory minimums repealed by Trudeau.
Solving the Housing Crisis
The housing crisis has worsened during the Liberal-NDP coalition, and will continue to grow worse if they are returned to government. The conservatives plan to work with provinces to legalize and construct missing middle housing. In addition, we will be looking into the sale of unused federal land for housing alongside the conversion of old hotels into homes. We will work to reduce zoning restrictions and red tapes placed on developers, and create a Developer Tax Credit for top housing developers.

A Fix for Immigration
As it currently stands, our immigration system is broken. Justin Trudeau and the Liberals let over a million new people into this country in the last year alone, and our housing and job markets alongside Canadian infrastructure simply cannot keep up. For this reason, we will be issuing a one year pause on issuing new work visas, permanent resident applications, immigration and other related streams. Current immigrants or those on visas needing renewal, such as students, will be able to remain and renew their documents. We will reduce immigration quotas and then reopen our borders.
Reviving Our Energy Industry.
The Carbon Tax scheme not only impacted the pockets of working class Canadians, but it left deep wounds into our once booming energy sectors. The Conservative Party will work to increase drilling operations, as well as reviving the Energy East pipeline from Alberta to New Brunswick. We will also seek investments in green energy, to ensure Canada is at the forefront of all global innovations.

Bringing Tourism In
Tourism is a vital part of Canada's economy, and many parts of our nation have suffered from government neglect in this industry. The Conservatives are the only party with an Atlantic Canada tourism recovery fund to stimulate the economy in the region. Additionally, we are proposing a rail connection to Detroit, as well as the fast tracking of the Gordie Howe bridge.
Becoming a Global Leader
Canada with the Conservative Party at the helm will becoming leaders, not followers, on the global stage. We will immediately increase defense spending to the 2% of GDP target, and set a deadline of 2028 for 3% of GDP. We will also take the initiative in pressuring other NATO members to do so. We are also firmly committed to supporting our allies in Ukraine and Israel in their defenses of their homelands.
